Law Internships Abroad

Gain Real Legal Experience Through Law Internships Abroad

Start Your Legal Career on the International Stage

Law is one of the most competitive fields in the world, and standing out requires more than good grades. A law internship abroad gives you the real-world experience law schools and employers want: cross-cultural competency, hands-on legal exposure, and the confidence gained from navigating a professional environment in another language and country.

Adelante Abroad has placed pre-law and law students in guaranteed, customized legal internships across Spain and Latin America since 1999. Whether you are preparing your law school application, looking to strengthen your resume between semesters, or seeking to explore international and comparative law firsthand, our law internships abroad give you the platform to do it affordably, safely, and with full support from our in-country team.

Our legal placements are available in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Ecuador, and Uruguay, with programs running year-round. Placements are available in small or mid-sized, privately owned law firms to in-house legal departments for larger companies.

Why Choose a Law Internship Abroad?

A law internship abroad offers more than just a resume boost; it shapes your story and career path. Here’s why pre-law students and aspiring attorneys opt for international law internships:

Build a Professional Network

Working abroad allows you to establish connections with legal professionals worldwide, which can be invaluable for future career opportunities.

Our law internships abroad are designed for candidates pursuing law school, ideally those who have already taken the LSAT prior to their program with us (though this is not a requirement). A high-intermediate level of Spanish is required, as you will be working directly within Spanish-speaking legal environments. Low-intermediate speakers may still qualify depending on placement availability.

What Will You Do as a Law Intern Abroad?

No two Adelante law internship placements are the same. Here is a look at the types of work our law interns have taken on across their placements:
