Hotel Internships Abroad
Hotel placements are available in boutique hotels, European chains, and large resort properties, including golf and tennis-centered hotels in Spain. How the Application Process Works
1. Apply Online
Fill out our simple online application. There is no fee to apply, and it takes only a few minutes to get started.
2. Get on the Calendar
Eligible candidates receive a link to schedule a free, first interview by phone or Google Meet. Send in your resume and current photo before your interview to secure your spot
3. Interview
We’ll learn about your background, areas of interest, Spanish level, and goals so we can start building the right placement for you.
4. Interview Results
Within 1–2 business days, you will receive your interview results by email. Successful candidates receive an acceptance letter with clear next steps.
5. Confirmation
Confirm your spot within one week of acceptance with a confirmation fee. This means there is no tire-kicking, and you are committed to going abroad. A second interview and full placement details follow soon after.
6. Pre-Departure
Once confirmed, you will receive a comprehensive Pre-Departure Information Packet with everything you need to prepare for your time abroad, including visa guidance if required, along with cultural prep.

How can I get a tourism or hospitality internship abroad?
Getting an international internship in tourism and hospitality is made simple with Adelante Abroad. All you need to do is apply through our website with our online application and speak with our program director about your experience and interests. We request your resume and a photo before the interview takes place to make sure your experience, whether it be volunteering or work related, matches what you are applying for. Additionally, we require at least a B1 low intermediate Spanish speaking level to be placed.
What skills do I need for a tourism or hospitality internship?
The experience we are looking for in this sector is past work in the food or beverage industry, working in a hotel, participating in galas, volunteering and being a part of events, serving clients or working at a front desk, etc.
Can I receive academic credit for a tourism or hospitality internship abroad?
Yes, many students are able to get academic credit for their tourism and hospitality internship abroad through their university. Students will need to coordinate with their university’s internship office or academic advisor to see what requirements are needed to be met.
When will I know my host company and internship placement?
