Where can i find summer theater internships abroad?
Adelante Abroad is a great place to look for summer internships abroad. We offer internships in Madrid, Barcelona, and Seville, Spain where students learn everything theatre related. With internships starting in May, June and July spanning from 2-6 months, interns can start their summer theater internship when they want and for as long as they want.
What should I expect during a theater internship abroad?
During a theater internship abroad, students should not expect anything but be open to exploring what an internship abroad has to offer. With a theater internship, candidates will start with 2 weeks of Spanish classes where they will perfect their Spanish speaking skills. From there they will head to their internship where tasks differ by location, company/ organization, and time you are abroad. Placements may include assisting the director, helping with stage management, being a part of the scenery, props, and costume design, or assisting with casting, rehersals, and artistic management.
How can a theater internship help students?
Theater internships abroad can help students build past the degree they are earning. With experience being necessary on resume’s now, international theater interns will get hands on theater work that they can add to their resume and put them at the top of the list when applying to jobs.
Can English majors pursue a theater internship abroad?
Absolutely! Many of the internships abroad provided by Adelante are not tied down to one or two majors. People who are interested in the theater subject can apply to get experience interning for or on the stage.

Receiving Academic credit for a theater internship abroad is definitely do-able. All students need to do is speak with there home university to see what the requirements are for an internship abroad. Many of the people who participate in an internship abroad with Adelante recieve credit for the hours they are working.
When will I know my host company and internship placement?
After you’ve been accepted into the program, our team carefully matches you with a host company based on your background, goals, and interests. Your internship placement will be finalized 1 month before your departure date, giving you plenty of time to prepare for your experience abroad.
