How the Application Process Works

Submit Your Application

Share your academic background, interests, and preferred destinations through our application form. This helps us to get to know you better and make sure you’re a good fit for our programs. Keep in mind our application deadlines are 60 days before your desired start date at the latest!

After submission, an Adelante Abroad advisor will schedule a free introductory call with you to discuss your goals, answer initial questions, and walk you through our programs.

Connect with an Advisor

Through this initial 20-30 minute call, you’ll receive guidance on how your experience and skillset, language learning goals, and career interests will align with our programs. We’ll narrow down your top two placement preferences and end the conversation with a decision on acceptance into our program.

Confirmation

Once accepted, confirm your place by paying our $325 application fee, so we can begin finalizing your placement with us. Spots are limited, so the sooner you take this step, the faster we can guarantee your spot!

After we receive your application fee, you’re guaranteed to go on a program with us, congrats! An Adelante Advisor will get in touch with you to schedule a second interview, so we can walk you through the next steps.

Prepare

Once your second interview is completed, we’ll move forward with contracting your placement, confirming your housing, and enrolling you in language courses. This is when you’ll receive our comprehensive pre-departure packet.

Keep in mind: your full program payment will be due 45 days prior to departure, and you will know the full details of your placement and housing one month before your arrival date.

Highlight relevant experience, even if it’s academic, volunteer-based, part-time work, or travel experience
Keep your availability flexible if possible, as this can open up more placement options
