Adelante Seville is growing at a pretty good pace: it is much harder to find participating companies in the south of Spain than in other areas of the country, but we are doing it!
Law candidates, Administrative and Management candidates, Education and Marketing candidates and Entrepreneurship candidates all can now consider Seville as their program destination, as well as our on-going successful programs in Madrid and Barcelona. Like our other programs, you will greatly upgrade your resume, learn another language and live another culture while a participant in this program. Unlike our other programs in Spain, all the above will take place in the particularly amazing Andalucia region -- South of Spain - which adds its very own flavor to your intern abroad experience.
There are many other sites that can better describe the city of Seville - to our team here, it is oranges on hot days, walking (and more walking!) on tiny, winding cobblestone streets, the amazing week-long fiesta that is Feria in April, delicious, hearty food and cool "canas" ...
- Here are the highlights of our Intern program in Seville and why it is better and different:
The amount of time you choose to intern is flexible, with program lengths ranging from 1 to 6 months
-
- This can be a non-academic or academic internship - you decide
- 2 weeks of intensive Spanish language classes are included in the fee
- Lodging is included. Live like a Spaniard in a shared apartment with other Adelante candidates or elect to live with Spanish roommates or with a Spanish family (ask for price difference)
- You will be met at the airport or train station when you arrive in Seville, and taken directly to your housing
- Internships are for 4 hours each day in either a local, Spanish-owned company or a larger, international organization or agency with offices in Seville. You will gain real, international work experience to add to your resume.
- The participating companies we work with represent a variety of Sectors, and we are adding new companies each month: from Administration to Marketing to Entrepreneurship to Teaching English to Legal work, and more as we grow. We are also happy to approach a specific company and create a new Sector on your behalf.
- Some events and activities are included during your intensive Spanish coursework. Some examples of these activities include a flamenco show outing, a monument visit, a tapas tour, and a Spanish cooking class. We also organize events each month, which you are welcome to participate in -- some have a small fee, others are free. This program is meant to be 50% work experience and 50% cultural / language acquisition and immersion. To that effect, we help cultivate the cultural side of the program for you by making you aware of these events.
- The Andalucia region in general and Sevilla specifically will positively form a lasting and major impression on each participant - we can't explain it, but it will happen!
- English speaking Adelante Director is available to you for support, assistance and in many other ways should you need it.
IT IS OUR GOAL TO HELP YOU EXPERIENCE ANOTHER CULTURE THROUGH OUR INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP AND IMMERSION PROGRAM. WE TRY TO PLACE ALL CANDIDATES AND HAVE HAD GOOD SUCCESS MATCHING CANDIDATES WITH THEIR DESIRED SECTORS, BASED ON THEIR SKILLS AND AVAILABILITY. CANDIDATES THAT ARE "TRULY" BEGINNING SPEAKERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE BY APPLYING FOR TEACHING ENGLISH ASSIGNMENTS.
